This is a professional working studio, where you benefit from small group size and individual support, no matter your level of experience.
Try throwing on the potter’s wheel, free sculpting, or hand building techniques. Whether you have a project idea already, or need some inspiration, you're in good hands!
Each in-studio experience includes clay, basic tools and other materials. Glazing and smoothing service is provided for single-session / beginner workshops.
-
Claywork will be ready for pickup approximately 3-4 weeks after session. I’ll reach out to let you know it’s ready, but feel free to check in if you’re wondering.
Book a pickup appointment here.
Shipping of finished work is available ($15+). Alternatively, opt to recycle your work at the end of session and receive $15 for studio shopping credit!

The klin takes 7-10 hours to heat up, and the same time again to cool. We fire to Cone 04 - 06, which is known as Low-Fire, or Earthenware temperature. Our top heat is a little over 1900F.
Single session visitors: Your work is dried for one week, fired, then clear glazed and fired again. Start to finish = about 3-4 weeks.
Returning students: Once your project lands on a “kiln ready” shelf, 1-2 weeks turnaround time.

We’ve got you!
To reduce waste, “Clay Valet” service is provided for all stored work. This includes wrapping + spraying of leatherhard work, and sanding + rinsing of bisqware.
(Returning students + Members Only)
Your studio fees cover storage and maintenance of work-in-progress.
This count resets each time you visit the studio to work on the project.
Standard allowance:
2 weeks for unfired clay (Leatherhard)
4 weeks for glaze-ready fired work (Bisqware)The top-up fee to extend this time is $5, and can be paid here.

When our regular sessions moved to a bi-weekly schedule in 2025, Paid Access was introduced to fill the gaps. It gives opportunity for Members and seasoned studio Regulars to access the studio between classes. Permission is required.
Studio Monitors are on hand to help provide basic guidance, but you’re on your own to set up and work during these times. It’s a great way to practice, deepen your learning, and will fuel your curiosity to know more!

Let’s have a conversation! It’s important to me that all studio users feel confident and well-prepared before joining these self-guided sessions.
If you’re new to clay, expect to attend 3-4 Instructor Led lessons.
Been gone for a bit? If you’ve been away 2 months or more, please attend an Instructor-Led session to touch base with me before requesting permission for Paid Access.
Non-Members are permitted at Paid Access, under the following conditions:
pre-approval from Heather
must alternate with Instructor-Led sessions
prioritize work in progress, before new work
