Newly transplanted to West Town from Logan Square. I will miss my storefront studio and the community it brought in the door, every day. New adventures await, at "The Sacred Garage," where I share space with a handful of other artists. The movements of summer have kept me busy! Looking into fall, the productive season is just getting underway.
Visit my table at the upcoming Revolution Brewery craft fair, coming up on October 12, where I'll be showing some new works from the "Thoughts and Dreams" project that began this spring. That's noon to 6pm , 3340 N. Kedzie Blvd in Chicago. I am also registered for the November 16th craft fair at Salvage One, 1840 W. Hubbard. (noon to 5pm) Stop by and show some love!
Overview of my Fall 2014 season:
Clay Play open studio worktimes are set to resume at my new West Town location. Yay! Prior experience with clay is required, and a reservation is a must (this space is much smaller than the Logan Square studio!) Wednesdays, ongoing, from Oct. 22. 7-9pm. (773) 671-5575
Dabble classes are also set to restart, beginning Friday November 7th. These single-session beginner workshops will be held at Fire Arts Center, in the Cornelia Arts Building in Roscoe Village (1800 W. Cornelia). See my page to register: https://dabble.co/chicago/pottery/classes/clay-play-with-heather-mcqueen
I am also involved with ElevArte Community Studio at Dvorak Park in Pilsen, where I am hosting 2 series this fall. Tuesday nights are for the younger crowd, "Ideas en Arcilla" and Thursdays are open shop for "Pozolada Community Nights." If you're around Pilsen you should get this on your radar! www.elevartestudio.org (312) 226-7767
